T’was The Night Before Christmas.

24 Dec

And all through the house,
Two creatures were stirring,
But neither a mouse.

The presents were laid by the fireplace with care,
With knowledge that St Nicholas (er, let’s leave that there).

My father asleep in a king size bed,
Whilst pictures of gold diggers panned in his head.
With Mum on her laptop and I on my phone,
Tucked under the covers, tip-tapping this tome.

…and then all the inspiration ran dry because that’s just the kind of way my brain works.

Early night though, because if I don’t, Santa won’t come. You should do the same, dear reader.
