What A Difference 3 Years Makes.

19 Sep

So three years ago today, I officially started the Radio Production course at the University of Gloucestershire.

Now, 1095 days later, I’m aware of just how far I’ve come.

I’ve got a degree, I’ve met some of the cleverest and most creative people around and am lucky to be able to count them as some of my closest friends.

I’ve worked at music festivals, and done so much live radio that I’ve actually run out of words and fallen asleep on air slightly.

The learning curve was the steepest thing I’ve ever experienced, but I would not change a single day. Except for that day I smashed a glass in our living room. Or got absolutely smashed watching The Great British Bake Off. Generally anything that involved smashing I’d probably change. But then I’d have nothing to learn from, I guess.

Let’s gloss over the fact that I have the same job as I did before I left for Cheltenham, and am living with my parents back in Plymouth. These are merely temporary things whilst I look for something a little more…related to my field of interest.

I still can’t ride a bike. Or drive. But I’m working on those. Very slowly.

So...what do you think?
