Political Prisoner.

7 Jan

We’re slowly inching our way towards me starting my essay.

“I have a whole week!”, the left half of my brain reminds me at 5am, “Yes, but this one is quite important.” chips in the right half.

“They’re all important, surely?”
“Shut up heart. You just keep providing us with oxygen and keep your damn mouth closed.”
Both sides of my brain are putting forward an united front against my clearly rational ticker.

MY BRAIN IS LIKE THE COALITION AND NOBODY IS HAPPY. THAT IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY HERE, I THINK.

I’m focusing too much on the long run, rather than working and living in the moment, which, although that’s important, at this rate is going to cause me some terrible issues. Like Labour’s last load of policies? Does that analogy even work any more? Did it ever work?)
