Year In Review.

31 Dec

What a year, we’ve had, eh?

Let’s look back on some of the wonderful, and not so wonderful moments we’ve shared.

JANUARY

This month I… tried to break the law and failed, bitched about fancy dress and took on Unilad.

FEBRUARY

This month I… had a word with internet trolls, turned 21 (celebrating by nearly getting food poisoning) and broke my laptop.

MARCH

This month I… got myself a mystery suitor, took an argument a bit too far and made an absolute tit of myself at a karaoke evening.

APRIL

This month I… had to explain Slash Fiction to my mother, wrote two blogs from pubs and had a moan at Specsavers

MAY

This month I… went off the radar in Wales, wanged on about Eurovision for a bit and got bored and dyed my hair.

JUNE

This month I… got to go and hang out in a muddy field for three days, wrote an entire blog in Pig Latin and passed my first year of University.

JULY

This month I… fell out with my Dad over a pork pie, got offered a very exciting opportunity and lamented how few books I read nowadays.

AUGUST

This month I… got propositioned by two puppets, climbed what was basically a mountain TWICE and had what was probably the most amazing day of my life so far.

SEPTEMBER

This month I… moved into my new house, made a ridiculous remark and cried buckets over Doctor Who.

OCTOBER

This month I… had a bloody lovely time thanks to Radio 4 Extra, got absolutely smashed thanks to The Great British Bake Off and got bought dog food by a housemate.

NOVEMBER

This month I… went on a mini break with the parents, spent a whole evening where I regressed to my childhood and dyed my hair again.

DECEMBER

This month I… built my first ever fort, almost froze to death in a London train station and finally learnt to love sprouts.

The question is…how do you fancy doing this all again next year? See, I’ve kind of enjoyed myself. A lot. It’s been nice to have something constant in my life and I’m a bit reluctant to stop now. Blogging might just be my new addiction.

Happy new year, you lovely lot. Here’s to 2013.

Time With My Rubber Ducky.

30 Dec

I miss not being able to have baths whenever I want to.

I know this will rank high on the list of First World Problems, but it’s all I’ve got to moan about, if I’m perfectly honest.

At Year’s End.

29 Dec

(almost)

There are two full days left of 2012, meaning that I need only write two more blog posts after this, and I will have succeeded in my quest to write a blog every day for a year.

Crikey.

Late To Bed, Late To Rise.

28 Dec

So my first ever super late shift at work taught me that I definitely shouldn’t do them.

Getting home after midnight somehow means my brain goes “HEY ZOE, YOU’RE AWAKE. WHAT? YOU WANT TO GO TO SLEEP NOW? WHY? IT’S OBVIOUSLY THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU?”

Dreams Can’t Come True. (Hopefully.)

27 Dec

The one thing I’ve realised with these recent early nights (read: in bed before 10pm last night, 7pm the night before) is that my brain is really odd.

My body clock seems to wake me up naturally at about 5am, but that’s fine, because it’s quite nice to be able to go back to sleep for a bit.

My recent dreams have been a real cause for concern though.

A Dramatic Interlude.

26 Dec

I do not understand how I can be so exhausted after a single day of work, especially when I had about 12 hours of sleep last night.

But unluckily for you lot, as work have cracked down on telling you anything about what my day involved, I’m at a bit of a loss of what to say today.

5 Pairs of Socks

25 Dec

4 eyeliners.
3 Kinder Eggs.
2 candy canes.
And a pair of Tesco tights.

Festive rewriting, courtesy of my stocking this morning.

Punintentional Christmas Rubbish.

24 Dec

Since I’ve been home, I’ve been bunged up with a cold and had impossibly itchy eyes.

Usually, I only tend to get like this around animals.

Therefore, I can only deduce that Mum has actually got me the pug I’ve been clamouring for for most of the year.

From The Desk Of Zoe Fell, Age 10 and a Half.

23 Dec

I’m trying something different tonight, mostly to change things up a bit before the end of the year.

Basically, I was sorting through a load of stuff in my bedroom, and found some old school work.

(I’ve yet to find one story that I’m positive I still have. It’s a really grisly murder mystery that I’m desperate to recover, as I’m certain I wouldn’t have chucked it out. Gah.)

Tales From Under The Duvet.

22 Dec

For some unbeknownst reason, I didn’t bother getting any sleep last night.

This has come back to haunt me slightly tonight, as I’m sat here on my sofa trying to stop my eyes from closing, and me from falling asleep.
